... Bringing Your Garden Alive With Fruit
Maungawhau School
The pupils at Maungawhau school have created a wonderful edible garden full of incredible edible® and vegetables.
Tharfield Nursery Ltd the home of incredible edible® is thrilled to be able to support the growing desire from children to experience the satisfaction of growing their own fruit. (Click on an image to enlarge it).
Congratulations to the pupils of Maungawhau School for their enthusiasm and dedication in putting this garden together. I look forward to hearing how ‘Stanley’ fruits and will now look at CEO’s in a different light!
“The shrubs you sent are doing very well and we are harvesting our rhubarb which is flourishing with the help of pony poo. The children are still highly motivated and love the whole area.
One of the blueberries has been named ‘Stanley”. We have planted veggies and companion plants in the big raised garden and they are doing very well. A dad came in and put in an irrigation system last week as well. I find I am constantly responding to garden ventures. Last week I gave the kids radish seeds which they planted in all the spaces left over and of course this week they are up.
At the garden centre buying worms for our worm farm on Saturday I spied potatoes for planting, bought some, told the kids they were going to grow them and today there are big polystyrene containers to grow them in sent from a mum. Our compost and worm farm is going now and I have created WEO’s and CEO’s, Worm Education Monitors and Compost Education Monitors.”
