Feijoa Antoinette™

Feijoa sellowiana Antoinette' PVR

Heavy crops of medium to large fruit with semi-smooth green skin. Sweet juicy mild aromatic flavour with flesh that is smooth and soft. Skin is medium to thin in thickness and does not bruise easily.
Produced and marketed by Tharfield Nursery Ltd in association with Tony Firmin. PVR protected 'Antoinette'.

Habit - Small to medium tree that is semi upright. Covers well in flowers. Not overly vigorous but a strong grower.

Size - 4 x 4m.

Pollination - Although classed as self-infertile, pollination is by larger birds such as Thrushes and Black Birds. These birds will travel some distance for their food and therefore pollination in the home garden is generally not an issue with 1 plant. I personally have never seen a feijoa tree without fruit on it in a home garden. Remember though planting 2 different ones will give you a longer season of delicious fruit.

Harvest - Early season harvest. When fruit changes colour and drops when touched.
