Lemongrass

  • Landscaping

The fragrant swaying grass will add texture, movement, and contrast among other plants. Great in kitchen gardens, in containers or any garden bed.

  • Culinary & Nutrition

Used in Asian cooking. Make lemongrass tea; if drunk before bed, it will induce sleep. Also used as an antidepressant and to soothe aches and pains. The oil is antiseptic and antiviral. Effective for headaches and respiratory problems.

  • Growing Conditions

Lemongrass prefers a full sun position and will tolerate wind and salt. Humid conditions with plenty of water in a free draining soil. Hardy to a wide range of conditions, trim after frosts have passed.
